Open the newsroom editor and log in with your authorized GitHub account. The owner must finish authentication and permissions setup first.
- Choose News articles, then New. Enter a factual headline and summary, language, reporter, section and story. Give the article a short English address, such as
jaipur-metro-update. Keep it unchanged after publication. - Check the publication time (India time). Future scheduling is unavailable. Select a city when relevant.
- Upload a photograph you have permission to publish. Add an accurate description, caption and credit. Use precise topic tags and relevant earlier stories or videos.
- Save draft saves a review branch. It does not make the article live. Wait for checks and the protected preview, then open the actual article on a phone.
- Mark ready for review. The authorized editor reviews and publishes under the repository’s approval rules. A merge can finish before deployment: check the live article URL after the deployment succeeds.
- For updates, keep the original publication time and address. Set a genuine update time. Explain significant corrections visibly.
If login fails, close the popup and retry from the production editor. Allow its login popup. If a build fails, open the failed check and ask the editor to correct the field or photo it reports; the last successful site stays available. Unsaved edits may be lost: save before closing.
Alerts need a real urgent story and a mandatory expiry. A briefing needs factual dated copy and useful selected coverage; it leaves the homepage after 48 hours. Publishing permissions are enforced by GitHub rules, rather than CMS status labels. Contact your editor for unpublishing: clear related/homepage selections first.
